Barthel, Horst Dr. med. Künzli, Dr. med. Kent, Dr. med.:
Kent Repertorium Generale englisch

Artikelnr.: 81013
Zustand: Buchpreis gebunden
 120,00

Seiten: 1172 gebunden

INTRODUCTION:

Proficiency in drug prescribing depends mostly on a wide knowledge of materia medica. Accuracy in choosing therapy, however, first arises through repertorisation. The symptom "sensation of a board in front of the head around 11 a.m." leads one to recall the well-known Sulphur aggravation at 11 a.m. The reprtory shows, however, that this symptom is also covered by Zinc.

Among the hitherto published repertories, Kent's Repertory is considered to be the most comprehensive and authoritative source available. Since Kent's death until the present day, many important therapeutic observations have been made by leading homeopathic authorities. These reports have been largely unavailable to the homeopathic public because they were often hidden in the literature. Künzli has collected the observations of first class authors during the course of 40 years of homeopathic experience. These additions are marked by their respective footmarks, making scientific research with this book possible. Künzli has also added many of Hahnemann's observations from his "Chronic Diseases" as well as "Materia Medica Pura", even though they have not been clinically verified. In this way Hahnemann's personal observations can be verified. Kent's personal handwritten corrections were also available and could be published for the first time.

In addition the Repertorium Generale contains the "red points" of Künzli, which are wellknown in homeopathic circles. In this text they are printed as black points. Künzli uses these points to relay his own therapeutic experience to the reader. A black point entered behind a drug means that the therapeutic efficacy of a remedy has been frequently proven. The black point behind the symptom underscores the therapeutic importance of the rubric and often points directly to the remedy in question, or at least to the general area. These therapeutic hints both broaden and enrich the Kent homeopathic school, which has evolved over Pierre Schmidt and Künzli. In order to insure the practicallity of the book, each page was presented in a compact form, enabling a good overview of the individual rubrics. This aids the eye in quickly finding the desired symptom.

This work was compiled and edited by Michael Barthel, M. D., with the able assistance of Charlotte Barthel, M. D. and Use Seider, M. D. Appreciation is extended to them for their untiring and self-sacrificing work. This text could not have been completed without their help. An introduction to the logical structure of the Repertorium Generale as well as the numerous cross indexes can be found in the accompanying pamphlets: "Introduction to the Repertorium Generale, English Edition" and "Cross-indexes to the Repertorium Generale."
